Dr. Karim Sadek Begins Year as EUME Fellow

Dr. Karim Sadek, who completed his Ph.D. in philosophy in 2012 with a dissertation on “Islamic Democracy: the Struggle for and Limits of Recognition” with Terry Pinkard, is a 2014–15 fellow in Europe in the Middle East – The Middle East in Europe program in affiliation with the Freie Universität zu Berlin. During his year in Berlin, Dr. Sadek plans to complete a book manuscript titled, “Arab Spring”: Authoritarianism or Emancipation? Recognition, Islamic Identity, and Radically Democratic Islamic Politics. Congratulations to Dr. Sadek!
