Joel Michael Reynolds to Join GU Philosophy Department in Fall 2020

Joel Michael Reynolds will be joining Georgetown University as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Disability Studies for Fall 2020. Prof. Reynolds is a specialist in the philosophy of disability, bioethics, modern European philosophy, and social epistemology. Reynolds received his PhD from Emory University in 2017 and has been an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, since 2018. Reynolds is also a Rice Family Fellow in Bioethics and the Humanities at the Hastings Center. Reynolds is also a founding editor (with Teresa Blankmeyer Burke of Gallaudet University) of TheJournal of the Philosophy of Disability. Reynolds will teach in both the Philosophy Department and the undergraduate Disability Studies Program.
