Guidry-Grimes Accepts Tenure-Line Asst. Professorship

Laura Guidry-Grimes (MA, ABD) has accepted a tenure-line assistant professorship in the Division of Medical Humanities at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She will begin her new job in July, 2017. Guidry-Grimes is currently a Clinical Ethicist in the John J. Lynch, MD Center for Ethics at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Guidry-Grimes is preparing to defend her doctoral dissertation, “Mental Diversity and Meaningful Psychiatric Disabilities,” under the direction of Prof. Alisa Carse. Guidry-Grimes earned her B.A. summa cum laude with dual degrees in Philosophy and Religion from Florida State University in 2008.
