Credit and Course Requirements for Majors, Minors, and Honors
Georgetown’s Philosophy Department offers an undergraduate major and minor in Philosophy, an option for a Bioethics concentration for Philosophy majors, and a minor in Philosophy and Bioethics. Majors can also write a thesis through the Philosophy honors program.
When declaring a major in philosophy, students are required to meet with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, who is the academic advisor for all philosophy majors. The Director of Undergraduate Studies also advises on study abroad plans for Philosophy majors and course selection.
