William Blattner is Professor of Philosophy in the Philosophy Department at Georgetown University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989.

Professor Blattner's research interests include early Heidegger and the American pragmatists, especially John Dewey.

His teaching interests have focused on modern German philosophy (particularly Heidegger and Kant) and American pragmatism.
